Quality solar modules from GermanSolar have a long lifetime and a steady, high yield. Independent institutes conduct performance- and long-term tests and inspect GermanSolar modules according to the strictest criteria. GermanSolar modules are certified as per IEC and UL and listed as per MCS and CEC/CSI. Moreover, they are tested for ammonia and salt-mist resistance. Due to independent and in-house test results, GermanSolar has complete confidence in the solar modules’ durability.

What is special about a linear performance warranty?

This warranty guarantees a higher-warranted performance in each year throughout the duration of coverage.

In comparison to the performance warranty of most module manufacturers who grant 90 percent of the performance in the first ten years and 80 percent in the following fifteen years, GermanSolar, with its linear concept, warrants an average of 4.6% more performance per year.

Instead of warranty jumps after 10 and 25 years, the linear warranty of GermanSolar provides a yearly minimum value for the performance of our modules and underpins the confidence in our modules’ durability. The minimum value in the first year is 97% (instead of 90% as before) of the labeled nominal power. From the second until the 25th year, we guarantee that the performance won’t decrease more than 0.7 percentage points per year, which means that in the last year of warranty, 80.2% of the performance is granted.
